About Brad Anderson; Founder of Anderson Aquatics
Brad holds a BA in Education and has been actively involved in the aquatics field since 1985. With decades of experience, he has been a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) instructor since 1996 and earned his Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) instructor credentials in 2005, advancing to Instructor Trainer status in 2017. Brad has presented on numerous topics at World Waterpark Association Symposiums, sharing his expertise across a range of areas, including mechanical systems, staffing, customer service, and safety.
He holds certifications in AFO, CPO, WSI, NPWNPL Lifeguard, and PADI SCUBA Diving, as well as instructor credentials for AFO, CPO, NPWNPL Lifeguard, PADI SCUBA, and American Heart Association CPR/First Aid.
Currently serving as the Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Englewood, Brad oversees all recreation including the 5.2-acre, $8 million Pirates Cove Waterpark. He has been instrumental in every phase of its development, from concept and design to construction and operations. His expertise in site management, cost savings, and operational efficiencies keeps his presentations engaging and insightful.
Through Anderson Aquatics, Brad provides top-tier training programs and consulting services, having trained thousands of aquatic professionals in water chemistry, risk management, operational management, and facility design. His firm offers technical support, modernization planning, feasibility studies, and troubleshooting for aquatic facilities across the country.
Recognized for his contributions to the industry, Brad was honored as the Aquatics Professional of the Year for the State of Colorado in 2015.
